#5: Jordan Nwora- F, Louisville

Louisville forward Jordan Nwora has the honor of being the only upperclassman detailed on this article, yet may very well have the most polished, all-around game of any of these players mentioned.

Nwora’s floor appears to be a quality NBA role-player and as such will certainly bring a lot to many different teams. He cracked into the national spotlight when the former four-star recruit scored 15 points or more four different times, as noted by Sports Reference, on a then-below average Louisville Cardinals team during his freshman campaign.

He truly burst onto the scene his sophomore season though when he truly began to get playing time. The 2018-19 season saw him average 17.0 points and 7.6 rebounds per game while shooting relatively efficiently at 44.6% on an improved Louisville team.

His third, junior, and likely final collegiate season have seen him elevate the Cardinals even further as his team is currently 7-0 and ranked as highly as #2 overall in the AP Top 25. Nwora has averaged an impressive 21.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 0.7 steals per game, while shooting a solid 50.5% from the field, as noted by Sports Reference.

Furthermore, he’s hitting 50.0% of his three-point attempts and 90.0% of his attempts from the free throw line.

Nwora has been one of the best all-around players and best pure shooters and scorers in the country thus far and easily has earned his mid-to-late first round draft projection. He has all the makings and look of a player that can seamlessly transition to the NBA given his excellent shooting touch, solid length, and solid defensive instincts.

He even has the ability to put the ball on the floor and create for himself and others a bit with his underrated and shifty handle and solid basketball IQ. Nwora’s unique blend of size (at 6-foot-7 and 225 pounds) and quickness will certainly allow him to score efficiently at a potentially high clip in the right situation with the right organization.

The Cleveland Cavaliers could easily end up being this organization as he clearly fits very well next to the team’s young core of Garland, Sexton, Porter Jr. and Cedi Osman. Nwora will be tested in his upcoming schedule as he and the Cardinals have games against Michigan, Texas Tech, Kentucky, and Duke all coming up in the upcoming months.

Nwora is largely the reason for his Cardinals being so great so far and as such, is worth paying close attention to each and every game this NCAA season as well in regards to Altman and the Cavaliers.

Nwora will need to play great if his team hopes to win a national title come March Madness and will be a very entertaining watch because of it.
