LeBron James has been on a different level this playoffs. He again sweep through the first two rounds and did it with relative easy and relatively little help.

With that said, it brings into debate if he is the best to ever play the game. Just like any debate, facts need to back up everything. Another aspect of a great debate is that there are many facets to choose your conclusion. If you base it solely off rings then maybe Bill Russell is the best, but if it all-around skill plus rings some say Jordan. If it just skill and some rings, LeBron is the obvious candidate.

As you can tell, the argument is on, and it is easily narrowed down to LeBron James and Michael Jordan. It is one that has been debated by the best, and it will continue to be. In the below video, Colin Cowherd, the host of FS1’s the Herd, gives his reasonable take on how the opponents of the two greats match up.

I have always admired the takes (for the most part) that Colin Cowherd presents. They are clear, cut, and usually backed by facts. This take in particular is right on the money. LeBron James is the greatest to ever play, and he has faced tougher competition already than Jordan faced en route to all his jewelry.
