In a Grantland Live-esque way, four writers at Right Down Euclid – Zak Kolesar, Trevor Magnotti, Chris Manning and Kevin Stankiewicz – used the RDE Twitter account to live tweet the 2013 NBA Draft to provide fans with up-to-the-minute personal analysis of the mayhem that ensued on Thursday night. As Kolesar, Manning and Stankiewicz were positioned in the media pen at Quicken Loans Arena, Magnotti watched from the safety of Athens, Ohio in joining the other Cavalier writers in airing their opinions as they came to their minds.
Here is a breakdown of what each writer had to tweet from the RDE account. Enjoy:
Site Editor – Zak Kolesar:
ZK: Walked into the Q to news saying that Nerlens Noel is going to go No. 1. Not mad about that at all, even though I'm a Porter homer.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
ZK: If Noel goes at No. 1, I want a SF no doubt at No. 19. Possibility of Reggie Bullock being there? Sounds good to me.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
ZK: Wut?
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
ZK: Anyways, I love Porter in Washington. I think that he'll work great with the backcourt of Wall and Beal.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
ZK: Win now, simple as that. I believe they can do that with Bennett, but I'm interested to see how things will work with TT and our new guy
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
ZK: How do these players react now to getting picked? Should some just assume that they might not even be on that squad? Chaos.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 28, 2013
ZK: Besides from some calling Noel "the center from Kansas" and Bennett a guard, some very knowledgeable fans at the Q tonight.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 28, 2013
ZK: About to leave the Q. All they're playing now is Harlem Shake instead of the Draft. Scream Team are goons.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 28, 2013
Staff Writer – Trevor Magnotti:
TM: Lots to be excited about tonight. Rumors of trading up from 19, no idea who the Cavs are taking, etc. I expect chaos tonight.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
TM: An added bonus of following my personal account is that I'm definitely going to go nova over there if the Cavs take Alex Len.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
TM: A brief synopsis of my feelings on the Cavs options at one: Noel-WOO! Oladipo-Meh Porter-Ok with it McLemore-Confusion Len-Blind rage
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
TM: Interesting question: Who are players you absolutely do not want to see the Cavs draft tonight? For me, it's Alex Len and Kelly Olynyk.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
TM: Noel/Bullock/Erick Green. That's what I want.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
TM: WEEELLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
TM: I........I have nothing. I'm speechless. Not mad, just confused.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
TM: If Bennett can play small forward, great, I guess?
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
TM: I'm confident the Cavs can execute enough moves to make this a playoff team. The Cavs will not and should not tank next season.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
TM: The RDE Mock Draft is a solid 1-6 right now. Nice going on the one correct selection, @danpilar.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 28, 2013
TM: RDE Mock Draft now 2-11. Welp.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 28, 2013
TM: Maybe just me but the only move I haven't liked since 9 is Adams to OKC.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 28, 2013
TM: Really, beautiful outlook at 19 for Cavs right now. Karasev, Bullock, Schroeder, Larkin, Dieng, Plumlee are all acceptable picks.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 28, 2013
TM: Amico doing his best to tweet consistently while giving out ZERO relevant information. Bravo, sir.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 28, 2013
TM: 3/20 for the RDE Mock Draft. Good job, good effort, guys!
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 28, 2013
Senior Writer – Chris Manning:
CM: Shabazz Muhammad, assuming he slips out of the lottery, has the best value of anyone in this draft. Not even close.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
CM: Waiting for a #wojobomb to break the pick for me before Czar Stern does.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
CM: Trade pack up for Nerlens. DO IT CHRIS GRANT.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
CM: Good pick for the Magic. Now flip Affalo for Bledsoe and you have a nice, young backcourt.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
CM: Is it too early to tweet #tankforwiggins
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
CM: The universe is a sick place and either Len or Noel is going to end up in Portland.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
CM: Gonna use trade override in 2K14 to trade Noel for Bennett. #turndownwhy

Future Staff Writer – Kevin Stankiewicz:
KS: the view from inside #TheQ tonight. A decent crowd. pic.twitter.com/0LcZUfXkRg
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
KS: I would only draft Alex Len if it is out of the top spot. Same goes with Noel. #NBADraft
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
KS: @cwmwrites and @Kolestarz doing some last minute PreDraft work down at #TheQ. pic.twitter.com/tGCHPrqa3K
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
KS: typical Chris Grant pick. His previous 2 shocker picks haven't been complete misses. Plenty of boos from the Q after the announcement.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
KS: Early prediction, another Canadian will go number one next year...Andrew Wiggins.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
KS: Huge shock with Charlotte's pick. Noel still in the board.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 27, 2013
KS: Interviewed some fans down at #TheQ. Consensus opinion was a little shocked w/ pick but they are trusting in Chris Grant . #NBADraft
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 28, 2013
KS: The depth of this draft is really showing right now. Plenty of good talent is going to be left when the Cavs are back on the clock @ 19.
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 28, 2013
KS: Really like this pick. Good value at 19 and glad to hear that he is planning on coming to the States right away. #NBADraft
— King James Gospel (@KJGCavaliers) June 28, 2013
KS: Thanks to the security staff at TheQ for allowing the us to take in 2 Macs, 2 iPads, a Nikon D3100 & 4 Cliff Bars w/o asking questions.
