Rasheed Wallace played well in his 21 games for the New York Knicks this season, but after playing just four minutes in his return to the floor, he has decided to retire from the NBA.

The Knicks now have an open spot on their roster. They have until Wednesday’s meeting with the Atlanta Hawks to finalize their roster for the postseason.

Wallace has decided to call it quits after 15 season. He was drafted fourth overall in 1995, was a four-time NBA All-Star, represented six teams (Washington Bullets, Portland Trail Blazers, Atlanta Hawks, Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks) and won the championship in 2004 with the Pistons.
