Miami Heat Need MVP Performances from LeBron James

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Following the indefinite loss of Chris Bosh, now more than ever, the Miami Heat need their and the league’s MVP to play like it. LeBron James secured a fairly consensual MVP award on the weekend after having the most efficient and effective season of his career. Dwyane Wade has openly admitted that he decided it was in the best interests for himself and the team to take a step back and embrace the role of being the second option because it wasn’t the most beneficial situation having two no.1s. Since the turn of the new year it has been evident [...]

Chris Bosh Out Indefinitely, Evens Out The East?

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

MRI scans confirmed Chris Bosh’s suspected abdominal strain, but gave us no real indication as to when the Miami Heat can expect their power forward back. The team is operating under the belief he will not be available for the rest of the series, and Bosh himself too is subscribing to that theory. “This season has to be extended for me to play again. That’s what’s on my mind. We started treatments and it’s a process. We’ll see how my body responds.” In a way it’s almost justified that Miami too experienced a key injury, given what we have seen [...]

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade Help Miami Heat Outlast Indiana Pacers 95-86

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Chris Bosh put a consensual hush over the American Airlines Arena comparable to the silence following their game 6 loss in the Finals to Dallas last year, as he fell to his knees, unable to stand following an awkward knock from Roy Hibbert, forcing the third member of Miami’s Big 3 to be helped from the court and adding to the high profile casualty ward that has swept the NBA this season. Bosh had been arguably the Heat’s best player until he converted a powerful and one dunk past Roy Hibbert, but had his right arm pulled in an odd [...]

LeBron James Accepts MVP Trophy Infront of Family, Friends and Teammates

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

LeBron James accepted this third MVP trophy in a ceremony in Miami this afternoon on the floor of the American Airlines Arena. A small crowd made up of Heat officials, coaches, the owner, the team, and several of James’ friends and family. It appeared at first that James was struggling with a cold of sorts but he was quick to identify that it was the emotion that made his voice waver. Eric Spoelstra began the event, choosing to ignore the stellar play that has seen him reach the pinnacle of NBA basketball, rather focusing in true Spoelstra fashion on what [...]

The Oklahoma City Thunder Are Disrespectful Punks & Won’t Win the NBA Championship

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

I had an epiphany during last night’s likely Finals preview involving the Heat and the Thunder. I’d seen the caveman that is Kendrick Perkins thump Dwyane Wade over the head twice within one flagrant foul. I’d seen the most self oblivious star in the league, Russell Westbrook, assault an airborne LeBron James because he had forced him into one of his 5 costly turnovers. I’d seen this year’s Derrick Rose, the fraudulent MVP and a so called friend of the Heat’s no.6, strike James across the face as he flew in for a dunk in an act of frustration because [...]

Chris Bosh Doesn’t Understand He is the Key to NBA Immortality for the Miami Heat

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

If you are a fan of the site you will know how hard I have been on Chris Bosh the past 18 months. Unlike the vast majority of the NBA universe, I do not get on the guy because he is the easy target, nor because he is simply the weak link or at least the lesser talent of Miami’s Big 3, rather I have such issues with Chris Bosh because I know what he can do and we have seen it so little in a Heat uniform. Chris Bosh was not only a perennial All Star upon joining Miami [...]

The Miami Heat Can’t Rely on Talent Alone to Hide Their Obvious Weaknesses

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Through the first half of the season, in fact the entirety of the season leading up to the All Star break, few would argue the Miami Heat were the best team. They held the second best record in the competition, despite constant injuries to Dwyane Wade, were on a 9 game winning streak, had quashed Linsanity for the last time and boasted the best player in the league playing at not only an MVP level, but offering a DPOY calibre resume. The biggest weaknesses evident last year were at the 1 and 5 positions, and the overall depth of the [...]

Referees Star for the Thunder as Oklahoma City Beat Miami Heat 103-87

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

I am not a person that ever likes to put the decision of a game, regardless of the sport, on any single or group of officials. I never am one to believe referees or umpires have enough of a say over a game to actually determine it’s outcome. But tonight’s Heat-Thunder showdown in Oklahoma City pushed me as close to changing that thought process, at least in terms of an NBA game. The Thunder were the better team, but the Heat barely had a chance to get into the flow of the game. Coming into the potential Finals matchup, I [...]

LeBron James Silences Clutch Critics…Temporarily

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: 5 Comments

LeBron James’ 14 point fourth quarter/overtime performance at home to the Pacers on Saturday night was eerily reminiscent to his all dominating, clutch performances during the Eastern Conference Semis and Finals. He sunk the game tying three with 10 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime, after scoring 5 points in around 20 seconds. He then hit another huge three pointer in overtime to cut a 5 point lead to a one possession game. From there he found a wide open Chris Bosh, after drawing three defenders, who drained a 20ft jumper. He narrowly missed [...]

America It’s Time You Embraced Tanking in Sports

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

In the past 24 months we have seen an unprecedented term of sporting avalanches that have led to situations that haven’t known in a long time. LeBron James left the Cleveland Cavaliers, Brett Favre left the Green Bay Packers, Albert Puyols left the Arizona Cardinals and most recently, Peyton Manning left the Indianapolis Colts. Obviously each respective situation is entirely different from the next, but all have left teams looking largely unrecognisable, at least to this current generation of the organisation. When you lose a franchise player, like each of the aforementioned have, you are immediately thrust into rebuilding mode. [...]
