<p>2008 – With a 97-92 Boston Celtics victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 7 of the second round, the Celtics won the series. <strong>Paul Pierce</strong> and <strong>LeBron James</strong> went toe-to-toe as the Celtics’ captain scored 41 points on 57-percent shooting while King James put up 45 points on 48-percent shooting.<strong> </strong>In the afternoon contest at TD Garden, the Celtics rode Pierce’s great play to the series win. The 2008 Celtics then went on to win the franchise’s first championship in 22 years.</p>
