The NBA All-Star festivities are almost upon us, with a lot of great events for the fans to enjoy. One of the events that has always proven to be exciting is the Three-Point Contest.

As always, the contest will be highlighted by the finest shooters in the NBA. Here is this year’s lineup:

Stephen Curry – 44.8% 3P% – Golden State Warriors

Jan 19, 2013; New Orleans, LA, USA; New Orleans Hornets power forward Ryan Anderson (33) shoots over Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry (30) during the second quarter of a game at the New Orleans Arena. Mandatory Credit: Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Kyrie Irving - 42.7% 3P% - Cleveland Cavaliers

Steve Novak - 44.1% 3P% – New York Knicks

Ryan Anderson – 40.2% 3P% – New Orleans Hornets

Paul George - 38.8% 3P% - Indiana Pacers

Matt Bonner - 45.1% 3P% - San Antonio Spurs

Matt Bonner is shooting the highest percentage from beyond the arc this season out of all the contestants. However, shooting percentage isn’t always the best indicator as to who will win the contest.

Steve Novak and Steph Curry are two of the favorites going into the contest. Novak is known for being an excellent spot up shooter, while Curry has not shot below 43.7% from three-point land in his career. And we all know that Kyrie Irving is more than capable of heating up and knocking down long range shots in masses.

So who do you think will be crowned as the best three-point shooter in the NBA this year? Vote in the poll below:

Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the site to participate in this post's poll.

Andre Drummond was the 9th pick in last year’s draft, and has had an overall successful season with the Detroit Pistons. However, due to his recent back injury, which will sideline the young center for four to six weeks, he will not have the pleasure of participating in the All-Star festivities in Houston this year.

While Drummond has not played big minutes this year, he is still extremely efficient, holding a 22.53 player efficiency rating. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Andrew Nicholson, of the Orlando Magic, will replace Drummond in the All-Star Rising Stars game:

Orlando’s Andrew Nicholson chosen to replace injured Andre Drummond in Rising Stars game on All-Star weekend, league source tells Y! Sports.

— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) February 10, 2013

Nicholson was selected 19th overall in the 2012 NBA draft, and has put up several impressive performances as he adjusts to the NBA. Mostly due to the absence of Glen Davis, Nicholson’s minutes have increased in February, as he is averaging 25.6 minutes per game this month. In Orlando’s last game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Nicholson had his second-best scoring performance of the season, contributing with 21 points and 8 rebounds in a losing effort.
