1985 – Happy 28th birthday to Utah Jazz PF/C Al Jefferson who is in his ninth NBA season. He was drafted 15th overall by the Boston Celtics in 2004. After Jefferson spent his first three seasons with the Celtics, he was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves as a part of a package for Kevin Garnett. Then, after three years with the Timberwolves, Jefferson was traded to the Jazz for Kosta Koufos and a few draft picks. Interestingly, with this being his third season with the Jazz and his contract ending, he may not return to Utah after this season. One of the league’s best big men could be finding his fourth NBA home this upcoming offseason.

Mo Williams had one of his best games of the season last night for the Utah Jazz, scoring 20 points (7-11 FG) and adding 12 assists.

Late in the fourth quarter, he found Al Jefferson for his best assist of the night. After getting a pick from Paul Millsap, Williams drove the lane, drawing DeAndre Jordan over to protect the rim. He got Jordan up in the air and then delivered a sweet, no-look, behind-the-back drop off that Jefferson finished with a slam.

Unfortunately for the Jazz, Williams’ big night was not enough, as Utah fell to the Los Angeles Clippers 105-104. It was the first loss at home all season for the Jazz.
