Thirty-one candidates are one step closer to reaching the pinnacle of individual achievements in sports, the Hall of Fame.

More renowned nominees include Gary Payton, Maurice Cheeks, Bernard King, Kevin Johnson, Tim Hardaway, and Vlade Divac.

The list also includes some of the premier coaches to ever grace the college and professional ranks. Rudy Tomjanovich, Jerry Tarkanian, Cotton Fitzsimmons, and Rick Pitino are among those hoping to be enshrined.
