Should I Stay or Should I Go? Part 4.
Like it or not, LeBron James is the most talked about thing in the history of the NBA. He’s a global icon and a hometown hero. He’s the greatest basketball player in the league today but he has yet to win a championship and, ultimately, thrust himself into the same breath with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Among the free agent class this summer, LeBron James is the most sought after individual and has done his part to keep the spotlight on him – even throughout the NBA Finals. He’s been linked to John Calipari and Chicago and Mark Cuban [...]
Game On!
Well for those of you who couldn’t tell, I (like Mike Brown) was fired up after the lackluster effort the Cavs handed out in Game 2 on Monday night. So I took a couple mental health days to get back on track because, as LeBron said, now is not the time for panic. And if the King himself is not panicking, who the heck am I to be panicking? Well, since I’ve been MIA, a couple Cavaliers have been hit with a few awards. LeBron took all-NBA first team honors as well as first team defensive honors over the past [...]
Keys to the Game: Cavs vs. Raptors 10/28/09
After a painful loss in Cleveland’s season opener to the Boston Celtics the Cavaliers look to rebound tonight as they travel to Toronto to play the Raptors. The Cavaliers have played great against the Raptors in recent years, having a 12-2 record since 2005 and currently hold a 5-game win streak against Toronto. Even though the Cavaliers have had great success against the Raptors, it wouldn’t surprise me if this one stays close. KEYS TO THE GAME Take Smart Shots: The Cavs are in need of a better shot selection. I don’t know how many times I was seeing players put [...]
Delonte West’ Wife Files Domestic Violence Report
With only one day left before the Cavaliers are set to begin what is perhaps the most important, yet promising season in Cleveland Cavalier history Delonte West is making headlines once again. According to WOIO 19 News out of Cleveland, West and his wife got into a reported argument that resulted in the filing of a Domestic Violence Report by Mrs. West. The argument supposedly started when West tried to take his wife’s wedding ring off. Soon after that, Mrs. West left and headed for Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, where she would later file a Domestic Violence report again the [...]
Keys to the Game: Cavs at Magic – Game 3
AT Limit “Superman” – The Cavs need to limit the number of touches Dwight Howard gets like they did in Game 2 (or maybe it was Stan Van Gundy showing who is still the boss). Give Me “Mo” – Mo Williams is cold, ice cold. The Cavs are shooting under 30 percent over the first two games, while Williams has shot 3-for-14 from the arc. He has to improve that for the Cavs to take this series over. Defense, Defense, Defense – When you got a big lead, KEEP IT! The Cavs need to play better defense around the permierter [...]
