Rumor Report: Cavs Looking to Sign Daniels

AUTHOR: | IN: FanZone, Free Agency, LeBron James, NBA, Rumors | COMMENTS: None Yet

Just hours away from the Cavaliers season opener against the Boston Celtics, rumors are swirling around Cleveland. A source close to the Cavaliers has hinted that Cleveland may be looking to acquire another guard before the end of the week. This report comes after a Domestic Violence report was filed on Delonte West over the weekend. The report was filed Saturday after West and his wife got into a dispute at their home. Sadly, this isn’t West’s first run in with the law this year. As many of you may remember, Delonte West was arrested last month in Maryland for [...]

Rumor Report: Cavs looking to deal for SG

AUTHOR: | IN: Free Agency, LeBron James, NBA, Rumors | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

The word on the web is that the Cleveland Cavaliers are still looking to make a late off-season move. Numerous sources have reported that the Cavaliers are looking to sign or trade a hybrid guard. The first name that was thrown around (yet thrown out) was that of Flip Murray. Murray spent half of the 2005-2006 season with the Cavaliers and was a key player off the bench in the playoffs. Murray is said to be signing a bi-annual contract with the Charlotte Bobcats. There aren’t very many FA guards left out there but if the Cavaliers do decide to dip [...]

Cavs Land Powe

AUTHOR: | IN: Free Agency, LeBron James, NBA, News | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

The Cavs have recently lucked out by landing free agent forward, Leon Powe. More than a dozen playoff calibur teams were reportedly interested in the Boston forward, but Powe came to the decision that he wanted to team up with LeBron James, an old AAU buddy. Powe was in Cleveland today to have his knee checked out by the Cleveland Medical team. The Cavs plan to sign Powe to a deal sometime this week. The reported deal is said to be for 2 years for under $1 Million, with a team option in 2010. Miami, Orlando, Portland, Dallas, and Los [...]

Cavs Make Offer to Powe

AUTHOR: | IN: Free Agency, LeBron James, News, Rumors | COMMENTS: None Yet

It appears that the Cavaliers aren’t done shopping yet. For the past month the Cavaliers have been browsing every aisle of the Free Agent Market. This time it seems that Forward, Leon Powe, has caught their eye. Powe will come at a good price ($2 Million biannual exception) but Powe is damaged goods as he is coming off his 4th surgery on his left knee and his third ACL tear in that knee. Powe would be a great steal, if he were healty. He’s a good defender and loves to play in the paint. Something that the Cavs are still [...]

The Cavaliers continue to be active in this years free agency, this time by signing restricted free agent forward, Jamario Moon, to an offer sheet. Little is known about the proposed contract but sources say it will have Moon in Cleveland for at least 2 years. Miami, the city where Moon called home for 2009, will have 7 days to match Cleveland’s offer in order to retain Moon. However, Cleveland seems to be the front runner for Moon, Miami is looking ahead to 2010 and will want to free up some cap space. At the current moment, the Miami Heat [...]

Cavs to Offer James Extension

AUTHOR: | IN: Free Agency, LeBron James, News | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

At midnight, NBA teams will be able to offer contract extensions to NBA players. This could potentially be the most important part of the offseason for many NBA teams. Even though this will have little to no effect on the 2009-2010 season, it could however impact the 2010 offseason. The 2010 offseason has been referred to by many as “The Summer of Lebron”, simply because the contract of Lebron James is set to expire July 1st, 2010. But King James is not the only star player who’s contract will be set to expire in 2010. Next years group of free [...]

Is Mo Pulling for Lamar?

AUTHOR: | IN: Free Agency, LeBron James, Rumors | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

Earlier today Mo Williams expressed his interest in Lakers forward, Lamar Odom, via Twitter. The Lakers recently pulled their $27 Million dollar offer from Odom, and it’s no secret that the Cavaliers are shopping around for a forward that can shoot the ball. The latest news from Cleveland is that the Cavs are currently looking into signing Rob Kurz, a free agent forward who spent last season with the Golden State Warriors. It’s clear that Odom would be a great fit in Cleveland and could potentially be the new starter at PF. However, there is only one problem. Lamar Odom [...]
