Here’s what we learned as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Indiana Pacers in Game 4.

The Cleveland Cavaliers were able to complete the sweep with a 106-102 win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 4. This is the third straight year that the Cavs have swept their first round opponent.

They say that the closeout game is often the toughest game to win of the series. The Cavs did not have to comeback from a 26 point deficit like they did in Game 3. That being said, they had to overcome 16 combined points from J.R. Smith, Kevin Love, and Tristan Thompson. They also had to overcome a 42 combined points from Lance Stephenson and Myles Turner.

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving carried the scoring load for the Cavs in Game 3. James put up 33 points and 10 rebounds. Irving added 28 points of his own.

Cleveland took a 13-point lead in the fourth quarter, but they couldn’t hold onto it. LeBron nailed a 3 to reclaim a one point lead with just over a minute left in the fourth. After a couple made free throws, J.R. being J.R., Paul George had a chance to tie the game with a 3. He got a good luck, but wasn’t able to convert.

Here’s what we learned from the win.
