Earlier today, Adrian Wojnarowski dropped another “Woj Bomb”. The elite, news-breaking NBA reporter for Yahoo said this:

"The Orlando Magic’s search process for a new top basketball executive could extend until the end of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ playoff run, which would allow Orlando to gauge the interest of general manager David Griffin, league sources told The Vertical."

Griffin has constructed one of the league’s top teams by trading for several key players in Iman Shumpert, J.R. Smith, Kyle Korver, and Channing Frye. The Kyrie Irving deal was even a doing of Griffin. Griffin and his staff have also found diamond-in-the-rough players like Derrick Williams.

This Cavs team is excellent, but the championship pedigree that is brought to this team runs deeper than the players. David Griffin has created something that most GM’s can only wish to achieve. The Orlando Magic have been a disaster, and they would expect Griffin to bring a sense of calmness and expertise. Griffin, who has already established himself in Cleveland, would be a long-shot to leave. In the end, money talks.
