Throwback Thursday: Cleveland Cavaliers in the NCAA Tournament

As the NCAA Tournament kicks off Thursday, it is nice to remember how several of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ players did in the tourney.

March Madness officially begins on Thursday afternoon.

With the exception of LeBron James and J.R. Smith, all of the Cavs had dreams of winning it all at the college level. Out of the 13 Cavaliers that went to college, Kay Felder with Oakland was the only one to not play in the NCAA tournament.

Deron Williams, Richard Jefferson, Kevin Love, and DeAndre Liggins all played on teams that made it all the way to the Final Four. None of those teams were able to win the tournament.

While we wait and see what team will bust brackets this year, it’s appropriate to look back at some of the current Cavs best moments in the tournament have been.
