The Cleveland Cavaliers (9-1) are set to take on the Indiana Pacers (5-6) in their first game without LeBron James. James, who is now 31-years-old, is now expected to take regular rests during the season. This just so happens to be one of those games.

While this game is more relevant because of what seemed like a budding rivalry between James and Paul George in the former’s days with the Miami Heat, there are plenty of other storylines to follow for this game. Nate McMillan is the new head coach of the Indiana Pacers and is already off to a rough start. While their offense has been average their defense has been below average. While the average offense is due to their lack of three-point attempts, their defensive issues are harder to pinpoint. It could be the defense of Jeff Teague, Monta Ellis and Al Jefferson, to start.

The Cavs hope to defeat the Indiana Pacers even without James and it’s certainly possible. However, the Cavs must band together in order to fill the void left in James’ absence.
