When the NBA Playoffs begin on April 18, the one player that everyone’s eyes will be on is LeBron James. It seems that no matter what LeBron accomplishes, he may never win the approval of the critics. The two-time NBA champion appears to have an impossible task on his hands when it comes to earning the respect of all NBA fans. However, when the whistle blows on April 18, and LeBron has an opportunity to bring a title to Ohio, critics may be quiet for awhile.

It seemed like LeBron accomplished everything he could except a championship in the early part of his career. Until 2012, LeBron was the unfinished star that everyone knew he could be, but once he got the taste of being champion, LeBron James finally became, LEBRON JAMES.

For Cleveland Cavaliers fans, being excited about a possible championship is an understatement. Cleveland hasn’t had a professional champion since the Cleveland Browns in 1964, people are more than excited about the Cavs. These fans should be excited, they have a great reason to be. No player in the NBA can win like LeBron since 2012. Since his championship season, teams LeBron has been on has averaged a .699 winning percentage. What’s even better, is that LeBron is 29-14 in the postseason since 2012.

No one wants to win more than James and you see it when he plays in important games. All the talk about him “being ok” with them losing at the beginning of the season was just talk. LeBron wants nothing more than to bring a championship to Ohio, and he will. No player in the NBA can compete with LeBron when he decides he’s going to win. Since he learned what’s needed to win a title, LeBron James has realized that there are times he needs to become the unstoppable force he can be. There are times that he needs to sit back and just let others take the spotlight, something he is learning to do with Kyrie Irving. This means that he may not win every MVP for the next five years or lead the league in scoring, but it does mean he’s going to win championships.

It doesn’t hurt that LeBron is working with one of the best starting fives in the league. Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, a revived J.R. Smith, how do you stop this much stardom? You don’t. That doesn’t take into account the contributions of Timofey Mozgov, Tristan Thompson, Iman Shumpert and the rest of the Cavs bench.

If it weren’t for a slow start to the season, the Cavs would easily have the best record in the NBA. No team has the amount of talent that the Cavs’ starting lineup has and people can talk about too much stardom causes problems, but not on this team. All of these players work together and it seems like they take turns on who is going to have the big game.

This April, the Cavs will show everyone that they cannot be stopped. Fans and critics will witness the power of the Cavs and how these stars work as well as any in the league. April 19 marks the beginning of the Cavs run to the title. For fans, critics, and spectators, we get to sit back and watch LeBron and the Cavs bring a championship to Ohio.
