The Cleveland Cavaliers lost LeBron James once, so could it possibly happen again? That has been the fear ever since King James returned to north Ohio but it still seems to be an unfounded fear.
It’s one that should no doubt be at least mildly considered as LeBron James did indeed leave once — but you also don’t usually stab yourself in the face and then do it again.
Chuck Myron of Hoops Rumors believes there is a chance, albeit small, that LeBron James could leave again.
Sure, there’s absolutely a chance. I don’t think it’s a very good one, but with so many unknowns surrounding a bunch of new teammates and a rookie coach (and a GM who’s been on the job for less than a year), you can’t rule anything out. Ultimately, I think a team would have to give him a real compelling reason to leave, and I’m not sure any of those five franchises you mention has what it takes to give him that.
The chance is actually smaller than small — so small that microscopic doesn’t even begin to describe it. Lest we forget that LeBron came back and then gave his word he wouldn’t leave again. That didn’t happen the first time around and it’s something that Cavaliers fans — and those trying to spoil the fun and happiness — should realize and consider.
