The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to make additions to their staff this off-season, and Raja Bell is just the latest. Adam Kuperstein of NBC Sports Radio reported on Thursday that Bell will become the Director of Player Administration for the Cavs. Here’s the tweet confirming the report:
Raja Bell has joined Cleveland’s front office. The longtime NBA player will be the Director of Player Administration for the Cavs. Congrats!

Raja Bell is just another player with a connection to General Manager David Griffin dating back to his days with the Phoenix Suns. His time in Phoenix intersected with Shawn Marion’s playing days, who became a Cleveland Cavalier this month and will be an important veteran presence on the bench this upcoming season. Bell, who spent from 2005 to 2009 with the Suns, was in Phoenix at the same time Griffin was as well, which explains why he is now getting a job in the Griffin front office. He is also a 12-year NBA veteran, so that experience will come in handy as well.
As Director of Player Administration, Raja Bell will handle tasks such as planning travel, player ticket requests for friends and family, hotel reservations and much more.
