The Cleveland Cavaliers lost LeBron James to the Miami Heat back in 2010 but four years later they’re trying to replicate exactly what Miami had going for it when they made NBA Finals pushes.
While the Cavs lack the legendary shooting guard the Heat had, they do have LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and now Kevin Love. despite the fact he’s a point guard, Irving is assuming the Dwyane Wade role while Love is left with the Chris Bosh role in Cleveland.
According to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel, by being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this week, Kevin Love basically assumed the Chris Bosh role of being the third wheel in the Cavs’ Big 3.
Love may end up being more like Bosh than we all think as there is already talk of him possibly being scapegoated if the Cavaliers season ends up failing. This isn’t a certainty, but lest we forget how Chris Bosh was always the butt of jokes during his tenure with the Heat — a tenure where Bosh wasn’t just playing for the Heat but taking it as well.
That could be Love’s future, but no matter how well or poorly the team plays, love is the third option on the team and is the Chris Bosh replacement in this rebooted Big 3 in Cleveland.
