Will Kevin Love's defense be an issue for Cleveland Cavaliers?

Kevin Love is now a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers which means it’s time to be even more critical of his game than we all were in the past.

There is no knocking Love’s rebounding or his shooting game, but he’s very much an offensive power forward which is rare and sometimes a detriment to defensive schemes. The main knock on Love pre-trade was that his defensive ability isn’t really that great, but not everyone is hating on him.

Cavs general manager David Griffin doesn’t seem to be too concerned though about Love’s defense and praised his new acquisition this past week.

Still, Griffin admitted that he did have concerns about rim-protection, but from a team-wide perspective.

This begs the question of whether or not Love’s defense will be an issue. griffin seems to not be too concerned at the moment, but if it comes down to the wire in a game, Love may have to win with his defense and so far he’s not proven he can do that.
