Cleveland Cavaliers Rumors: Dion Waiters to flourish next to LeBron James?

The Cleveland Cavaliers are one of the fastest rising teams in the NBA and that mainly has to do with the additions of Kevin Love, LeBron James and others this offseason.

But while the Cavs are vastly improved thanks to free agent additions and other acquisitions, there are already pieces on the team as it is that will make the team even more powerful than fans can imagine. One player waiting to pop in this new era of Cavs basketball is Dion Waiters. John Zitzler of Basketball Insiders believes Waiters could be a much improved player playing with James, Love and Irving.

With all of the Cavaliers’ newly added firepower, Waiters will presumably receive significantly less attention defensively. He should really benefit from the number of open looks that will be created for him playing alongside LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving. Don’t be surprised to see Waiters continue to improve his field goal percentage and become even more efficient playing with the Cavs’ new weapons.

That’s a pretty accurate assessment of the situation, as the Cavaliers have been waiting for Waiters to pop for them and it seems that under LeBron’s leadership that may finally happen in ways we can’t even imagine.
