The Cleveland Cavaliers finally acquired Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves and he seems to be making friends rather quickly.
One of the players that were rumored to be in one of the supposed deals for Love was Dion Waiters but he ended up staying in Cleveland Cavaliers and now he’s getting praise from his new teammate. Kevin Love is already a big fan of Waiters and is praising is game after just being in town for a day or two.
Waiters recently told Philly.com that Love believes he is “underrated.”
Whenever he’s in Los Angeles, Waiters also trains regularly with Kevin Love, who joined him and James with the Cavaliers as the primary piece of the three-team trade that sent Andrew Wiggins and Young to the Timberwolves.
“He likes my game,” Waiters said. “He thinks I’m underrated. One of the things about K-Love, he knows I pass the ball.”
Coming out of Syracuse, Waiters was a hot name that many thought would be a solid pick in the later half of the lottery. But the Cavaliers took him in the top five that year and he’s bore that cross his entire career so far. Now that the offense will be opening up more, Waiters could develop into his true potential and that’s something that Love is hitting on with his comments.
