Cavaliers GM doesn't have concerns about Kevin Love's defense

The Cleveland Cavaliers finally acquired Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves this summer and as a result the team is starting to stockpile talent for an NBA Finals run. But there’s something that has been nagging at Love’s trade value and it’s his lack of defensive ability.

Love is a power forward but one that can stroke the three pointer like no other. That’s what makes him so special — his defense, not so much.

But don’t tell that to Cavaliers general manager David Griffin, as he doesn’t see anything wrong with Love’s defense ahead of seeing what he can do in the 2014-15 season.

Still, Griffin admitted that he did have concerns about rim-protection, but from a team-wide perspective.

Cleveland has a center depth issue that may come back to bite them this season. But for now, all eyes are on Love as the Cavaliers are now favorites to win the NBA title this season.
