The Cleveland Cavaliers finally acquired Kevin Love yesterday, meaning that the team can finally look ahead to the future and this upcoming season, rather than looking behind at what needs to be improved. There are still holes on the roster, but the Cavs are a much better team and everyone knows it.
Kevin Love is also in a much better place now, and everyone knows this too. Derrick Rose knows this, at least, and isn’t afraid to let the world know. According to Joe Cowley from the Chicago Sun-Times, Derrick Rose is happy that Kevin Love was traded to the Cavaliers because it gives him the opportunity he deserves to try and win and have fun playing basketball.
‘‘I’m just happy he gets an opportunity to play somewhere and actually play and feel good about playing and win. I think that he deserves it. I think they should have a great team.’’
Rose is just speaking his mind here, as he’s not actively excited for Rose to be in Cleveland — he could likely care less. The Bulls and Cavs will have quite the rivalry this season, and Rose is aware of this but he’s also aware that a fellow player is in a better situation than he was before, which is something everyone can feel better about as a whole.
