Kevin Love officially traded to Cleveland Cavaliers

It’s a day that Cleveland Cavaliers fans have been waiting for, but it’s finally arrived. The Minnesota Timberwolves have partnered with the Philadelphia 76ers to send Kevin Love to Cleveland in exchange for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, Thaddeus Young and a first round draft pick from the Cavaliers.

Young is coming over from the Sixers and the Cavaliers first-rounder will be heading to Philadelphia along with Alexey Shved and J.J. Barea.

According to Brian Windhorst from ESPN.com as well as Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports, the Cavaliers, Timberwolves and 76ers have all completed the massive Kevin Love blockbuster and the deal has been approved by the NBA.

The Love deal was rumored to be happening for the better part of a month now but today is the day it finally happened. It’s a steep price for Love, but the Cavaliers now have LeBron James and Kevin Love in the same frontcourt along with Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters in the backcourt.

That’s a tough lineup to contend with, and the Cavaliers now have put themselves above all others in the Eastern Conference for at least the moment.
