The Cleveland Cavaliers have finally completed their trade for Kevin Love as the long rumored deal that lands the All-Star forward in Cleveland has been approved by the league.
Now that Love is in Cleveland, the next order of business is to figure out the uniform number that he will be wearing with the Cavaliers and that has been a matter apparently already settled on. According to Cavs beat writer Joe Gabrielle, Kevin Love will be wearing No. 0 for the team this upcoming season.
#Cavs make it official, All-Star F Kevin Love — who’ll wear uniform No. 0 — now a Cavalier in a 3-way trade with Minnesota and Philly.

It’s an odd choice to say the least, as Love has always worn No. 42 dating back to his days with the UCLA Bruins in college. But this is a new chapter for Love, so leaving his jersey number behind in Minnesota along with his past is going to be something important to making sure he forges a new future for himself.
Plus, we can expect to now see plenty of No. 0 Kevin Love jerseys around Cleveland as the Cavs have another star and the team is going to be even better than they were the first time around with LeBron.
