Kyrie Irving is excited to learn from Cavaliers veterans

The Cleveland Cavaliers signed LeBron James this summer but an equally important signing was point guard Kyrie Irving, who inked a fat max extension with the Cavaliers to remain with the team and remain their leader.

But he can’t do it all by himself as Irving still has plenty to learn to improve his game and he plans on using the summer and the new additions that the Cavaliers have to hone his game and truly take things to the next level and where his game should be after getting a max deal.

According to RealGM, Irving is not only happy with the Cavaliers additions this offseason but he’s excited to learn from the likes of LeBron James, Shawn Marion and others who were signed.

“I’m more than excited with our new veterans. I’m really excited just from the standpoint of how the locker room is going to go and how to really be a professional. I’m not saying that the veterans that we had weren’t professionals themselves, but we didn’t have enough. Given the right and wrong things to do in the league, I’ve had to learn on my own and that’s what some of us been doing.

Irving can be a star for the Cavaliers even more so than he already was as the environment he’s in will afford him a chance to shine in a way he hasn’t been able to yet but was destined to from the start.
