The Cleveland Cavaliers were looking like the team to sign Shawn Marion but it appears that they have some competition when it comes to his services. After seemingly beating out the Indiana Pacers to gain the lead to sign Marion, the Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat have entered the equation to complicate matters.
According to Marc J. Spears from Yahoo! Sports, the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers are now teams that may offer Marion a contract.

It’s not a certainty that the Heat or Clippers will offer Marion a contract but the Clippers are the biggest competition that the Cavs need to concern themselves. Marion hasn’t decided where he wants to play yet, but it’s looking like Los Angeles is just as good an option as Cleveland is at this point.
Of course, LeBron James is a mighty tool to have at your disposal, but the Clippers offer an equal chance to win a title and might even afford more minutes to give around, which may be a better selling point that Cleveland might not be able to afford.
