LeBron James is excited about Kevin Love's basketball IQ

The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking at possibly adding Kevin Love this offseason and that means that not only are the Cavaliers going to be adding his rebounding and three point shooting, but also his basketball I.Q.

LeBron James is excited about one of those three things and it’s not what you might think it is.

According to Brian Windhorst and Marc Stein of ESPN, the only thing that LeBron James cares about when it comes to Kevin Love is his basketball IQ.

“I don’t even really care about the 26 [points] and 12 [rebounds], I care about his basketball IQ. His basketball IQ is very, very high. I had the opportunity to spend 32 days with him in the 2012 Olympics. He was huge for us … he’s a great piece.”

It’s rather unlikely that LeBron isn’t concerned about Love’s production, but what he can do this time around as opposed to the last time the Cavaliers tried to add talent is not have to worry about that production. Love is good for double-doubles on a nightly basis and that’s the type of play that LeBron is not used to in Cleveland.

Having that production already in place means that the Cavaliers can obsess over Love’s basketball I.Q. and relish in the fact that it’s a luxury they didn’t have the first time around.
