The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking at ways to acquire Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves, and it appears they may have found a way.
Now that Andrew Wiggins has been included in the trade, the Wolves seem down with moving Love to Cleveland, and when that trade is complete, it’s going to mark the end and conclusion to the trade drama that has been going on since July. According to Brian Windhorst and Marc Stein of ESPN, the Cavaliers have been talking with Kevin Love in an introductory way since July.
The Cavs were granted permission last month by Minnesota to speak to Love and his representatives in an introductory fashion, sources say, while James and Love have also been in direct contact in recent weeks about their long-term intentions of playing together.
This isn’t really all that surprising as the Cavaliers have been hot after Love since before they convinced LeBron James to re-sign. Many thought it would take getting Love to land LeBron back in Cleveland but now that LeBron is back no matter what, the focus for the Cavaliers remains where it was a month ago when they firs started talking to Love.
