NBA fans don’t need much to get all hot and bothered about something, and Andrew Wiggins is that thing for Cavilers fans. The rookie hasn’t played a single regular season minute yet, but he’s still being treated as though he’s a superstar already.
To be fair, Wiggins was the No. 1 overall pick in the draft and a guy that many believe could turn into something incredibly special in the future, but at this current juncture he’s nothing more than a player with a discontinued jersey at the Sop NBA Store.
That’s right, Wiggins’ jersey has been taken off the virtual shelf and the ability to customize his name on a jersey has been taken away as well.
It’s possible that this is all a coincidence, but it’s also possible that the NBA is holding off and seeing fans gear that may be irrelevant before the season even tips off. What this all could be is a simple error message and the not being able to customize his name on other teams and even his own team is really nothing all that new.
That being said, there might be more to it then that and only time will tell if the now infamous discontinued jersey ended up bringing about resolution to this matter.
