Report: Kevin Love trade framework in place

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been trying to acquire Kevin Love for the past few weeks now but it seems that’s something a lot easier said than done.

At the end of the day, something will indeed happen with the Cavaliers and Love but as it stand now, there has been no significant movement on a deal. That being said, Bob Finnan frrom the Cleveland News-Herald is reporting that the framework for a Love trade has worked out and could signal movement in the next few weeks.

According to the Morning Journal, the framework for a Kevin Love deal has been agreed upon and it’s just a matter of time before the deal is made. That being said, there are many moving parts left in the trade that could change at any point despite the framework being done.

It appears the framework of the Cavaliers-Timberwolves trade is done. However, there are still some moving parts in the possible deal. The Cavaliers would prefer to hang onto rookie swingman Andrew Wiggins. That much is true. However, the Timberwolves probably won’t make the trade unless Wiggins is included. Timberwolves president/coach Flip Saunders might get booed out of the state of Minnesota if he traded three-time All-Star Kevin Love to the Cavaliers and didn’t bring back Wiggins.

Of course, this doesn’t mean a deal will for sure happen but it certainly means that there is going to be some sort of movement in the next few days or weeks on a trade.

Framework is a loose term though, and until the deal is agreed on in principal
