Paul George says Cleveland Cavaliers are foontrunners in East

The Cleveland Cavaliers snagged LeBron James this summer and it has already improved their chances of dominating the Eastern Conference and it’s something that already has teams and players in the East looking at the Cavs with a severe appetite to upset them.

It’s no secret that the Cavaliers are now the best team in the East with the addition of LeBron James and that’s not something that just analysts are saying. Indiana Pacers star Paul George has come out and said that he believe the team to beat in the Eastern Conference are the Cavaliers, something that will be made extra interesting since the two teams are in the same division.

“With Lance being gone and everyone thinking this is going to be a rebuilding year for us,” Paul George said during Team USA training camp this week via Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com, “immediately when LeBron went to Cleveland, that made them the front-runners.”

This is something that is a general assumption throughout the NBA and it’s something that will be fun to watch as teams try to knock off the Cavaliers much like teams went after the Miami Heat back in 2010 when LeBron took his talents out of Cleveland and down to South Beach.
