The Cleveland Cavaliers are trying to find a way to make sure their roster is as shored up as possible this season but that’s a process that is a lot easier said than done.
One potential target for the Cavaliers might have been Chris ‘Birdman’ Andersen but he ultimately decided to re-sign with the Miami Heat despite having LeBron James leave to come back to Cleveland.
According to Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press, the Cavaliers may have had interest in Chris Andersen but he had no interest in them.
As if Heat fans weren’t enamored with Birdman already: Cleveland came after him big time, but he never wavered on Miami.

This is sort of a bummer but the Cavaliers only have so much cap space and can’t go off and sign the entire Miami Heat B-Team just to make LeBron feel at home. Besides, Andersen would have been a nice option but there are other pieces that fit on the Cavs roster and there’s no need to carbon copy a Heat team that failed to win a title this past season.
He was a nice option, but there are others out there and the Cavaliers aren’t losing much on losing out on Andersen.
