The Knicks made Anthony a $129 million offer over five years, one year and more than $34 million more than any other team could offer.
The star forward drew interest from suitors around the league, with the shortlist thought to include the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers following a cross-country trip to meet with team execs.
Anthony is thought to be readying his announcement for Thursday.
