David Blatt to coach Cavs' Summer League team

According to Allon Sinai of the Jerusalem Post, new Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt will coach Cleveland’s summer league team in order to help himself prepare and get to know some of his young players.

This news makes a lot of sense. Blatt, despite being a renowned basketball mind, likely will have an adjustment period due to the differences between the Euroleague and the NBA. Also, it will give Blatt a first look at whomever the Cavs take in the draft and some other young players such as Anthony Bennett, Matthew Dellavedova and Sergey Karasev. This should also benefit the players who can get an early look at what Blatt is like as a head coach and some of the basic intrigues of his offense and defense.
