2012 – In a 107-99 Oklahoma City Thunder victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals, the Thunder moved on to the franchise’s first NBA Finals since 1996. Before Oklahoma City won four straight games to take the series, San Antonio had won 20 consecutive contests.

The 2013 and 2014 playoffs have been a different story: the Spurs have advanced further than the Thunder each of the last two postseasons. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook need some more help and might be thinking back to when they had James Harden as the third banana.
