1977 – In a 109-107 Portland Trail Blazers victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, the Trail Blazers won their only championship. 76ers small forward Julius Erving scored a game-high 40 points in the loss while Lionel Hollins and Bill Walton put up 20 points each for the Blazers.

Since 1977, the Blazers have been back to the Finals just twice (1990 and 1992). They are finally made it back to the second round this past postseason. It was the first time they won a first-round series since 2000.
