2006 – In a 117-101 Dallas Mavericks victory over the Phoenix Suns in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals, Dirk Nowitzki scored 50 points, the most points he has ever scored in a playoff game. He is the only player to score at least 50 points in a postseason victory in the last decade. Nowitzki is also the first player to score at least 50 points as a part of a postseason double-double since Karl Malone in 2000.

The 2013-14 Mavericks pushed the top-seeded San Antonio Spurs to seven games in the first round of the playoffs. Although Nowitzki was not the game-high scorer in any of those seven contests, he still had one of the best seasons of his career. He is ready to fight through the difficult Western Conference in the 2014-15 season.
