2008 – In an 89-81 Boston Celtics victory over the Detroit Pistons in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, the Celtics advanced to their first NBA Finals since 1987. Paul Pierce’s team-high 27 points and eight rebounds led the way for the Celtics as he made a game-high 10 free throws in the contest. Boston outscored Detroit by 16 points in the fourth quarter as the Celtics made the comeback in Detroit.

Pierce and the Brooklyn Nets could not dethrone the Miami Heat in the 2014 playoffs, but it looks like he and Kevin Garnett will be back with the 2014-15 squad. They hope that Brook Lopez is ready for a full season, as the team with highest payroll in the NBA is hoping to make it further in the playoffs in 2015.
