Cavaliers to interview Griffin, Hollins and Lue this week

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been slow to hire a head coach and for good reason. The team hired Mike Brown last summer without interviewing any other candidate and it ended with Brown being fired after one season. With the Cavaliers looking to win now (again) and the Cavs again set to pick No. 1 in the draft, it looks like the organization is going to take their time to find their man.

This week, however, it looks like things are about to pick up. A day after reports indicated that Los Angeles Clippers Tyronn Lue was set to interview for the job later this week, Sam Amick of USA Today Sports reported that the Cavaliers are set to interview Lue, former Memphis Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins and Chicago Bulls assistant Adrian Griffin for their head coaching job.

Former Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro and former Phoenix Suns head coach Alvin Gentry are also set to interview this week. The team has yet to publicly comment or confirm any of the interviews. Considering the timetable of the interviews, it seems possible that the Cavs might have a new head coach as early as next week.
