2007 – With a 111-86 Golden State Warriors victory over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 6, the eighth-seeded Warriors defeated the Mavericks in the first-round series. Baron Davis was one of the main reasons that Golden State won its first playoff series since 1991. In addition, both 2006 NBA Finalists (Dallas and Miami) were eliminated in the 2007 first round. The last time that happened was 1956.

The Warriors have made it to the playoffs each of the last two postseasons. It is also the first time since the early 1990’s that they have been a back-to-back postseason team. Although Davis is no longer in the league, the Stephen Curry show has been on full display in the first round against the Los Angeles Clippers. He scored a game-high 24 points as the Warriors forced a Game 7.
