1988 – In a 106-101 Chicago Bulls victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 2 of the first round, Michael Jordan scored a game-high 55 points, which were the most points he ever scored in a home playoff game. In addition, three Bulls also contributed double-digit rebounds that night.

Jordan owns five of the eight best scoring performances in NBA playoff history. He scored exactly 55 points three times in his postseason career. Each of those three performances were at the United Center and are tied for the most points for a home player in playoff history. His 63 points at Boston on April 20, 1986, are the most by any player in an NBA postseason game.
