1983 – Happy 31st birthday to Los Angeles Clippers small forward Danny Granger (@dgranger33) who was traded from the Indiana Pacers late in his ninth NBA season. Granger’s career 3-point and free-throw percentages rank in the top 100 all-time. His success at each of those areas could help the Clippers in the playoffs.

In 2008-09, he was the league’s Most Improved Player award winner in addition to having his only career All-Star game appearance. In the following season, Granger put up a career-high 44 points. In a 122-106 Pacers’ victory over the Utah Jazz, Granger helped Indiana outscore Utah by a whopping 23 points in the second half of the upset win.
