1947 – Happy 67th birthday to Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (@kaj33) who spent 20 seasons in the league. He won six titles, six Most Valuable Player awards and two NBA Finals MVP awards. In addition, Abdul-Jabbar was a 19-time All-Star and scored the most points all-time.

Abdul-Jabbar’s career-high scoring performance came on December 10, 1971. He scored 55 points in the Milwaukee Bucks’ 120-104 victory over the Boston Celtics. Abdul-Jabbar led the 1971-72 Bucks to the league’s best offensive and defensive field-goal percentages. However, they could not repeat as champions.
