NBA Trade Rumors — Andre Miller has played his last game with the Denver Nuggets and it seems that the Washington Wizards are the front-runners in a potential trade. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo, the two Wizards players who would be involved in the deal that is being discussed are Jan Vesely and Eric Maynor.

Considering the fact that Miller is essentially dead money at this point and that Maynor would not be coming to the Nuggets, this is a great trade for Denver. Vesely likely won’t make much of an impact, but then again, neither would Miller who is sitting at home waiting for a deal to happen. However, unlike Miller, Vesely is on an expiring contract, so the Nuggets would save money and cut salary by going through with this trade.

The Wizards have been looking for backcourt depth for a while now, and Miller has shown that he still has some tricks up his sleeve and some gas in the tank when he actually played for the Nuggets this season. His leadership could certainly give the Wizards a lift.

One weird thing about this deal is the fact that Maynor wouldn’t be coming to the Nuggets. Yes, this saves the team money, but Denver also doesn’t have a single healthy point guard at this point, as Randy Foye has  been forced to play an unfamiliar role running the offense.

UPDATE: The deal is going through.
