To cap off a dull NBA trade deadline, the San Antonio Spurs have sent Nando De Colo packing across the border, moving him to the Toronto Raptors in return for Austin Daye.

This trade, in a way, perfectly sums up the trade deadline — teams swapping dull rotation players.

Daye has played in eight games this season. He might see a little more playing time until Kawhi Leonard returns in San Antonio, but after that it’s hard seeing him cracking the rotation. He is a great stretch-four, but is pretty one-dimensional and hasn’t played decent rotation minutes for a while. Then again, Gregg Popovich can do wonders for a player’s career, so we’ll have to wait and see if Daye makes any kind of impact.

De Colo is also a pretty baffling acquisition on the Raptors’ part, seeing as they already have Kyle Lowry and Greivis Vasquez.

I disagree, Nando gives relief if Vasquez gets hurt, dont know if Nando has dribbling skills ,but he does pass well. Vasquez goes into spurts where as he is the team leader and the team does not score for five minutes at a time. This way Nando pressures Vasquez from having these periods known as brain farts.
