Los Angeles Clippers trade Antawn Jamison to Atlanta Hawks

The Los Angeles Clippers have traded Antawn Jamison to the Atlanta Hawks in the final moments leading up to the trade deadline, presumably to create space for another incoming trade, according to Brian Windhorst.

The Clippers are currently discussing a deal for Iman Shumpert, involving up to five players, and Jamison’s expiring contract must have been a hindrance. Stay tuned to KJG as we continue to follow the developments.

It seems that the New York Knicks and the Clippers didn’t manage to reach an agreement for a trade, according to Windhorst:

The Knicks weren’t able to complete any trades by today’s deadline. Lots of talk with Iman Shumpert but no deals

This could have simply been a case of too little time, as there were rumors of the Clippers interested in Shumpert before today, but the biggest hindrance was Shumpert’s status following yesterday’s injury. The MRI results came back negative just hours before the deadline and lack of time might have been the issue.
