NBA Trade Rumors — It was recently reported that the Washington Wizards and the Denver Nuggets are closing in on a potential deal for Andre Miller, and that deal seems to be going through. The Philadelphia 76ers have stepped up to the plate and will help to facilitate this trade as a third team.

In 3-team deal, Washington will send Eric Maynor and two 2nd-round picks to the Sixers to complete Andre Miller trade, source tells Yahoo.

Basically, the 76ers will be taking on Maynor’s contract (which has a player’s option for next year) and will also receive two second-round picks for their troubles. The Nuggets simply get rid of Miller who wasn’t going to play for the team anyway, and save money by picking up Jan Vesely’s expiring contract. The Wizards get a solid backup point guard, which is something the team has been after for a while. Seems like a mutually beneficial deal for all parties involved.
