NBA Trade Rumors — The New York Knicks have been looking to improve in their point guard position for quite a while now, with crosshairs firmly set on Kyle Lowry. However, it seems that the Toronto Raptors’ playmaker cannot be had at this point, and the Knicks are turning their focus onto another high-caliber guard in Jeff Teague.
Knicks' focus leading into Thursday trade deadline is upgrading at point guard. And word is a new name intrigues them: Atlanta's Jeff Teague

Teague was forced to stay in Atlanta last summer, as the Hawks matched the offer sheet he signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. Whether or not Teague was part of the team’s plans, it was probably the preferable option over letting him walk for free and not getting anything in return.
Teague started the season hot, but has cooled down lately and turned in some inconsistent performances. His shooting numbers are down compared to last season, even though he isn’t playing more minutes and hasn’t been asked to score much more than usual. All things considered, Teague would still be a major upgrade at the point for the Knicks, but trading for his contract would mean committing even more long-term salary.
A lot of things can happen over the next couple of days leading up to the trade deadline, so it will be interesting to see whether the two teams actually enter any kind of negotiations this week.
